Nurse Practitioners (NPs) are Registered Nurses (RN) who have done further training in the diagnosis and management of medical conditions. NPs have an increased scope of practice that allows them to:

  • Complete a comprehensive health history and assessment
  • Formulate and communicate a diagnosis
  • Prescribe medications
  • Dispense, sell, and compound medications
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests
  • Order diagnostic imaging tests

 

Registered Nurses (RNs) are committed to supporting your health and wellbeing through:

  • Client-centered one-on-one education
  • Health assessments and symptom triage
  • Blood pressure monitoring
  • Venipuncture (drawing blood)
  • Injections/medication administration
  • Immunizations
  • Suture/staple removal
  • Smoking cessation counselling (STOP program)
  • Community resource coordination
